B-ROLL is free forever, with no ads, no account and no paid tier, and it will stay that way. If it saves you time in your edits, you can support its maintenance with a voluntary PayPal donation in any amount. Donations are optional and add no extra features.
Why a donation helps B-ROLL
B-ROLL is maintained by one video editor, Ema Zamboni. YouTube keeps changing how it serves video, so a downloader needs regular care: new releases, fixes when a download stops working, and pages like the ones on this site that explain what to do when YouTube asks you to sign in.
A donation pays for some of that time. It is a thank-you, not a purchase: there is no paid tier, no trial and no feature held back, and B-ROLL works the same whether you donate or not.
Other ways to support B-ROLL
- Report a bug. Report a bug in the app's Advanced panel opens your email app with a message to info@emazamboni.it, with the download log attached as text if you leave the box ticked. Nothing is sent until you send that email.
- Tell another editor. Share this site with someone who spends too long getting YouTube footage into a timeline.
- Credit the creators. Use the credits files B-ROLL writes, and credit the people whose footage you use.
